Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Zoink Studio website at zoinkstudio.com and explains the approach behind all of our apps. Each app also has its own policy, because they do genuinely different things and a single document that covered all of them would have to be vague to be accurate.

Per-app policies

1. How we think about this

Zoink Studio L.L.C. ("Zoink Studio", "we", "us") is a small independent app studio. We do not run an advertising business and we do not have a data business, so there is no commercial reason for us to hold information about you, and we do not. Our apps have no accounts and no sign-in. What you create in them is written to your own device, and a feature only sends something to a server when it cannot work otherwise. Where that happens, the app's own policy says so in plain terms.

2. This website

The site is a static marketing site. We run no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no cookies that profile you. Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than a third party. As with any website, our hosting provider keeps short-term server access logs that record technical details such as an IP address and the page requested; we use those only for security and reliability.

3. If you email us

If you write to hi@zoinkstudio.com we receive the address you wrote from and what you said, so that we can answer you and provide support. We keep support correspondence only as long as it is useful, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions and any other in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, and Apple does not tell us who bought anything. Each app records only a flag on your own device saying that a purchase unlocked its paid features. Distribution through the App Store is also subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

We use a small number of providers, and each one receives only what its job requires. Apple processes purchases and distributes the apps. Railway hosts this website and the identification server used by Bezeler and Collectria. Anthropic reads photos you choose to scan in those two apps, in order to identify what is in them. Public card databases and marketplaces are queried for prices, using only the item being looked up. The per-app policies set out exactly which of these apply to which app.

7. Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the CCPA, you have rights to access, correct, delete or export the personal information a company holds about you, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold so little, the honest answer in most cases is that there is nothing to produce. Deleting an app removes everything it stored. For anything else, write to hi@zoinkstudio.com. We will never treat you worse for exercising these rights.

9. Security and international transfer

All traffic between our apps, this site and our servers is encrypted in transit. We and our providers operate in the United States and elsewhere, so information may be processed outside your own country. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be made reasonably prominent.
